Music - Part 363 - Ceiling Demons 2014 Top 10

To be honest, hip-hop is a genre that’s always been pretty ‘hit and miss’ for me so it came as a huge surprise that the shining light should come in the form of Ceiling Demons from Yorkshire!

Their fresh approach and honesty to their sound has a special twist and it was always going to be interesting to see what they’d been listening to this year.  Said Psy Demon: “been dead busy and compiling a list of 10 has proven quite challenging!”

We like Ceiling Demons.

Young Fathers - Dead
Dazzling & intoxicating, The Mercury Prize winning 'Dead' has been on constant rotation. A truly spectacular début.

A Silver Mt Zion - Fuck Off Get Free We Pour Light On Everything
Sold by the title, What We Loved Is Not Enough is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. phenomenal LP

Serengeti - Kenny Dennis III
Geti's 2nd LP of the year (Check out the Sufjan Stevens, Son Lux collab LP Sisyphus!) is incredible, KD III follows the story of his alter ego Kenny Dennis on a hilariously sobering journey to restore past glories.
