News! - Help Musicians UK Charity Compilation
Gazelle Twin, Simon Fisher Turner, Luminous Bodies to feature on Help Musicians UK Charity Compilation to be released February curated by writer Simon Tucker.
The 26th February sees the release of a great looking charity compilation on behalf of Help Musicians UK. The compilation, which has been curated by Louder Than War and Radio Free Matlock’s Simon Tucker, is set to feature over 70 artists from all over the musical spectrum including:
Graingerboy, Vinna Bee the Apiary, mylittlebrother, Blokeacola, Xqui, The Bordellos, Helen McCookeryBook, Alec Bowman_Clark, Dan Amor, Gazelle Twin, Luminous Bodies, Simon Fisher Turner, Flying Pyjamas, Feral Five, Ash Cooke, Rhodri Davies, Chloë March, Conformist, Eat The Sun, Sheer Zed, Ghostlawns, The Flight, Big Lad, Dorcha, Lower Slaughter, Radio Europa, Lippy Kid, Shamanka Phoenix and Human Concept, Ela Orleans, DXII, Future Self, Naisian, Dead Cosmonauts, Sun Cutter, Danni Rowan, Nick Hudson, Squires Da Gem, Wheeze Team, Blaktrix, UCNT, Culture Vultures feat Hollie Singer (Adwaith), Alan Morse Davies, Whettman Chelmets, Francesca Dimech, WIP, Amongst The Pigeons, MidLifeMix, anrimeal, Annwn (Otherworld), Ross McCabe, Spacelab, Sister Wives, Papur Wal, Sam Barton, Kidsmoke, The British Space Group, Silent Forum, Zervas and Pepper, Dan O'Farrell & the Difference Engine, Ya Yonder, SYBS, Adwaith, Los Blancos, Mêl, KIM HON, Accü, Ynys, KEYS, Tacsidermi, Santa Sprees, Breichiau Hir, Climbing Trees, Mathew Frederick, BLÓM, Walken400, Assasin of Sound, Edit The Skies, Winter Villains + more to be announced nearer release date.
Speaking about the project Simon says: “A few years ago I curated a compilation album raising funds for the charity HOPE not hate. This was around the time of the referendum and the murder of the MP Jo Cox. Artists such as Chris and Cosey, Beak>, Datblygu, Membranes + a whole lot more kindly contributed to the album helping us to raise nearly £1500 for the charity.
What with the current situation I felt now was the right time to try and put together another compilation only this time I really wanted the monies raised to go to musicians themselves. As you are aware the pandemic has put a stop to so many ways that artists can earn money and they have been shown no support by the UK Government which is not only having an effect on artists livelihoods but also their mental health which is why I chose Help Musicians as the chosen charity. They are an independent charity which aims to make a meaningful difference to the lives of musicians, offering a wide spectrum of support which includes: Health & Welfare services, Creative development funding, ground-breaking research, a mental health helpline for the entire music industry and an incredibly popular hearing health scheme which aims to prevent hearing problems that would otherwise bring musicians’ careers to an untimely end.
Music is so important to me and I want to do what I can to give back to those that have helped me on so many occasions without them even knowing it.
Every penny outside Bandcamp / PayPal fees will go directly to the charity.”
‘And In The End…Help Musicians UK Charity Compilation’ is to be released on the 26th February via Bandcamp and is now available to pre-order via here. Follow Simon on Twitter @simontucker1979 for updates.

News - From Perpetuity Compilation in aid of Alzheimer’s Society
There are unlimited possibilities in a moment.
This compilation is the result of a challenge posed to each participant to take an
original sample of up to 5 seconds and to generate an entire piece of any duration
from it, using only duplication and manipulation.
The end result is truly exciting, demonstrating through each artist’s own
interpretation of the brief and the implementation of their own working methods,
that the manipulation of even the smallest sound can present infinite worlds and the
degradation and decay of one thing can sometimes breed the creation of something
altogether new and wonderful.
87 minutes and 43 seconds of music created from no more than 75 seconds of
captured sound.
Equally keen to embrace the brief, artist himHallows has produced a one-of-a-kind
set of animated covers, composed of a sub 5 second clip which loops seamlessly
ad infinitum.
All proceeds from the sale of this compilation will go to Alzheimer’s Society to support their
emergency appeal, covering funds which can’t be generated due to Coronavirus and to
fund ongoing care for those with dementia and research into treatments.
