What has now become an annual tradition, Hiapop welcomes Simon Tucker (Louder Than War / Radio Europa) to give us his top thirty albums of the year.

Another year, another end-of list. 2018 has been quite a ride but as usual music has been the constant companion and something you can rely on. This year has been particularly exciting as independent artists break into the charts and the more experimental side of things get more and more coverage and the respect they deserve. Compiling this list has been difficult. Narrowing it down to even thirty has meant some great albums have not made the cut. Anyway, here's the albums that have really shone for me this year......
