THE FLEAS, Reading’s exuberant indie-roots quintet, are to release their anticipated new EP, ‘Telling Tales’, on all digital platforms on Monday 27 April. The band, who have appeared on the airwaves with increasing regularity in 2015, kick off ‘Telling Tales’ with the 80s-inspired floor-filling folk-pop of ‘Free’; followed by the rousing new-wave anthem for athleticism, ‘Born To Run’; the sultry country shuffle of the salutary ‘She Doesn’t Miss You’; and closing with ‘No More Tears’, a song The Fleas performed live on Dermot O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 show earlier this year. As a collection, ‘Telling Tales’ captures not only The Fleas’ versatile musicianship, but also their flair for mightily infectious pop hooks.
